Restore Structure, Stimulate Collagen

RADIESSE® Biostimulator Treatment in Alpharetta, GA

Changes in collagen, skin thickness, facial structure, and volume can gradually affect the appearance of the face, jawline, hands, and décolleté. RADIESSE® is a versatile injectable treatment that provides immediate structural support while stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin over time.

At Youthtopia Med Spa, RADIESSE® may be used to soften certain facial wrinkles and folds, improve jawline contour, restore volume to the backs of the hands, and support smoother, firmer-looking skin in appropriate treatment areas. Depending on your concerns, it may be used as a traditional injectable filler, a collagen-stimulating biostimulator, or in a diluted formulation designed to improve skin quality across a broader area.

Every RADIESSE® treatment at Youthtopia is customized according to your anatomy, skin quality, degree of volume loss, and aesthetic goals. Our approach focuses on creating balanced, natural-looking improvements rather than adding unnecessary volume.

Located in Alpharetta, Georgia, Youthtopia Med Spa has been serving clients throughout North Atlanta, including Roswell, Milton, Johns Creek, and surrounding communities, since 2007. Contact our team to schedule a consultation and learn whether RADIESSE® may be appropriate for you.

What Is RADIESSE®?

RADIESSE® is an injectable dermal filler and collagen biostimulator made with calcium hydroxylapatite, commonly abbreviated as CaHA. These tiny CaHA microspheres are suspended within a smooth gel carrier.

When injected, the gel provides immediate support and correction in the treatment area. Over time, the gel is gradually absorbed while the CaHA microspheres create a framework that stimulates the body to produce collagen and elastin.

Collagen provides strength and structural support within the skin, while elastin contributes to flexibility and resilience. By encouraging the production of these important components, RADIESSE® can support gradual improvements in skin firmness, elasticity, and overall quality after the initial gel effect begins to diminish.

Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, RADIESSE® is not made with HA and cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. This makes proper patient selection, product placement, and treatment by a knowledgeable injector especially important.

How Does RADIESSE® Work?

RADIESSE® offers a dual-action approach to rejuvenation.

Immediately after treatment, its gel carrier provides structural support, helping to soften certain wrinkles and folds or improve contour in the treated area. The calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres then stimulate the skin’s regenerative processes, supporting the production of collagen, elastin, and other components of the skin’s extracellular structure.

As the gel carrier and CaHA particles are gradually metabolized, the newly produced collagen and elastin help support longer-term improvements in the treated tissue.

The way RADIESSE® is prepared and administered depends on the treatment goal. It may be placed more precisely to provide support and contour, or diluted for broader skin-quality applications. Your Youthtopia provider will determine the appropriate formulation, placement, and amount based on your anatomy and desired result.

What Areas Can RADIESSE® Treat?

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) have several FDA-approved aesthetic indications. Depending on the product formulation and treatment technique, they may be used for:

Moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds, including nasolabial folds.

Moderate-to-severe loss of jawline contour in adults over age 21 with RADIESSE® (+).

Volume loss in the backs of the hands.

Wrinkles of the décolleté in adults age 22 and older when RADIESSE® is diluted according to the FDA-approved protocol.

Experienced providers may also discuss other applications based on a patient’s anatomy and concerns. Some aesthetic uses may be considered off-label and should be clearly explained during the consultation.

Not every formulation is appropriate for every part of the face or body. RADIESSE® is generally not used in the lips, and its safety and effectiveness have not been established for every commonly requested filler area.

Traditional vs. Diluted RADIESSE®

RADIESSE® can be prepared differently depending on whether the goal is targeted structural support or broader skin rejuvenation.

Traditional RADIESSE® for Structure and Contour

In its traditional formulation, RADIESSE® provides immediate support while stimulating collagen and elastin production. It may be used to soften certain facial folds, improve jawline contour, or restore volume to the backs of the hands.

This approach may be appropriate when the treatment goal involves definition, support, contour, or correction of visible volume loss.

Who Are the Best Candidates for RADIESSE®?

RADIESSE® may be appropriate for adults concerned with structural volume loss, facial folds, reduced jawline definition, aging hands, or changes in skin firmness and quality.

You may be a good candidate if you:

  • Have moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles or folds.
  • Want to improve jawline definition or lower-face contour.
  • Have visible tendons, veins, or volume loss on the backs of the hands.
  • Are concerned about wrinkles or crepey skin in the décolleté.
  • Want both immediate support and gradual collagen stimulation.
  • Prefer a treatment that supports the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin.
  • Have realistic expectations and understand that results vary by treatment area and individual response.
  • Are in good general health and do not have a contraindication to treatment.

RADIESSE® is not the best product for every patient or every treatment area. During your consultation, your provider will determine whether RADIESSE®, a hyaluronic acid filler, Sculptra®, a skin-tightening treatment, or another approach is most appropriate.

What Are the Benefits of RADIESSE®?

RADIESSE® is a versatile treatment because it can provide both immediate support and gradual regenerative benefits.

Depending on the treatment area and individualized plan, potential benefits may include:

  • Providing immediate structural support and visible correction.
  • Stimulating natural collagen and elastin production.
  • Softening moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds.
  • Improving jawline contour and lower-face definition in appropriate candidates.
  • Restoring volume to the backs of aging hands.
  • Improving the appearance of wrinkles in the décolleté with the approved diluted protocol.
  • Supporting firmer, smoother, and more resilient-looking skin.
  • Addressing both structural changes and declining skin quality.
  • Creating gradual, natural-looking improvement as collagen remodeling develops.
  • Offering a minimally invasive alternative to surgical procedures for appropriate candidates.

RADIESSE® is not intended to make every patient look fuller. When used as a biostimulator, the primary goal may be improved skin support and quality rather than noticeable added volume.

How to Begin Your RADIESSE® Journey at Youthtopia

Your RADIESSE® experience begins with a personalized consultation and comprehensive assessment at Youthtopia Med Spa in Alpharetta.

During your consultation, you can expect to:

  • Discuss your concerns, aesthetic goals, and desired outcome.
  • Review your medical history, medications, allergies, previous injections, and relevant health information.
  • Complete an assessment of your facial anatomy, jawline, hands, décolleté, skin quality, structural support, and areas of volume loss.
  • Learn how RADIESSE® differs from hyaluronic acid fillers and other collagen-stimulating injectables.
  • Discuss whether traditional or diluted RADIESSE® may be most appropriate for your needs.
  • Receive an individualized treatment plan outlining the recommended areas, amount of product, anticipated recovery, expected results, and pricing.

Before-and-after photographs may be reviewed to help illustrate potential outcomes, but results vary, and another patient’s outcome cannot predict your own.

Our goal is for you to understand what is being recommended, why it may be appropriate, and what you can realistically expect before proceeding.

What to Expect on the Day of RADIESSE® Treatment

On the day of your appointment, your provider will review your treatment plan and confirm the areas being addressed. The skin will be cleansed, and treatment markings may be placed to guide precise product placement.

RADIESSE® (+) contains lidocaine to help improve comfort during injection. Depending on the treatment area and technique, additional comfort measures may also be used when appropriate.

Using a fine needle or cannula, your injector will carefully place the product according to your individualized treatment plan. Appointment length varies based on the number of areas treated, the amount of product used, and whether RADIESSE® is being placed for structural support or broader biostimulation.

When RADIESSE® is used in its traditional formulation, some improvement may be visible immediately because of the gel carrier. Temporary swelling can initially affect the appearance of the result.

When diluted RADIESSE® is used primarily for skin-quality improvement, the regenerative effects develop gradually as collagen and elastin production increases over time.

Before leaving Youthtopia, you will receive personalized aftercare instructions and information about your expected recovery.

Immediately after your procedure, you will be able to notice the first signs of results, including instant plumpness and contouring.

Combining My RADIESSE® with Other Treatments

If you are looking to address multiple concerns, you are more than welcome to discuss them with your provider during your consultation. Combining treatments helps achieve comprehensive results and customized facial rejuvenation by targeting different layers of the skin.

BOTOX® and Other Neuromodulators

BOTOX®, Dysport®, DAXXIFY®, and other neuromodulators reduce targeted muscle activity responsible for dynamic expression lines. RADIESSE® works differently by providing structural support and stimulating collagen and elastin.

When appropriate, combining the two can address both muscle-related wrinkles and changes in facial structure or skin quality. Neuromodulators do not prevent RADIESSE® from moving or becoming displaced; each treatment simply targets a different concern.

BBL® Photofacial

BBL® addresses visible pigment, redness, sun damage, and uneven skin tone near the skin’s surface. RADIESSE® addresses deeper concerns involving structural support, volume, and collagen stimulation.

Combining these treatments may provide a more comprehensive approach for patients who want to improve both skin tone and underlying skin quality.

RADIESSE® Recovery

Your Guide to Post-RADIESSE® Care

RADIESSE® does not require any downtime, so you can return to work the same day as your treatment. However, you will experience some mild swelling, bruising, and redness for the first few days afterward. Applying a cold compress to the treatment sites can help mitigate these side effects.

Avoid touching the area, strenuous workouts, exposure to direct sunlight, and alcohol for the first couple of days.

How Much Does RADIESSE® Cost in Atlanta, GA?

The cost of RADIESSE® in Alpharetta and the greater Atlanta area varies depending on the treatment area, amount of product required, formulation and dilution used, complexity of the treatment plan, and number of sessions recommended.

A targeted jawline or facial-fold treatment may have different product requirements than hand rejuvenation or a diluted skin-quality treatment across a broader area.

During your consultation, your provider will evaluate your anatomy and concerns before developing a customized treatment plan and providing clear pricing information. Youthtopia Med Spa also offers VIP membership benefits, seasonal specials, and financing options that may help make ongoing aesthetic care more accessible.

Why Choose Youthtopia Med Spa for RADIESSE®?

Youthtopia Med Spa has been serving Alpharetta and the greater North Atlanta community since 2007. Our approach to injectable and regenerative treatments is centered on patient education, safety, careful anatomical assessment, individualized treatment planning, and natural-looking results.

RADIESSE® is a highly versatile product, but successful treatment depends on selecting the right patient, formulation, placement, and amount. Our experienced aesthetic injectors evaluate whether your concerns are primarily related to volume loss, facial structure, skin quality, laxity, or a combination of factors before recommending treatment.

We do not take a one-product-fits-all approach. Depending on your anatomy and goals, we may recommend RADIESSE®, a hyaluronic acid filler, Sculptra®, a skin-tightening procedure, or a combination treatment plan.

From your initial consultation through treatment and follow-up care, our team takes the time to explain your options, answer your questions, and help you feel comfortable and confident in your aesthetic decisions.
