Prepare Your Skin for Your Special Day! All Brides Need to Know About Skincare!

Wedding planning often comes with a detailed timeline! But have you thought about your skincare timeline? Prepping your skin for your big day takes some time & work! Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind so you can have glowing skin for your wedding day!

1.) Choose the right skincare products

Your skin deserves the right products. When you get engaged, you should start thinking about the time of year you are getting married. Why is this important? Our skin changes in different seasons. For instance, the Summer your skin is more exposed to the sun & may need color correction or products with SPF.

Winter & Fall seasons can cause more dryness to the skin, so hydrating products & treatments are needed. We recommend that you meet with an esthetician to examine your skin & recommend the proper skincare routine at least 3 months before your wedding. You do not want to switch to a new skincare line weeks before your wedding because this may cause sensitivity & irritation to the skin. You want to give your skin enough time to adjust & heal so that your skin is at its very best on the day.

2.) Getting Filler & Botox

If you want full lips & smooth skin for your wedding day, then Botox & Filler is likely on your list. However, it is best to start Filler or Botox 3 months before your wedding day. You want to make sure that your body handles Filler & Botox & that way your injector will be able to tweak & make any necessary adjustments needed before the wedding.

3.) Laser Treatments & Microneedling

If you experience hyperpigmentation, dark spots or uneven skin texture, then you may need a laser treatment such as BBL or IPL. You want to have this treatment done at least a month before your wedding date, so that your skin has time to heal. It is best to start this treatment at least 2 months prior to the day, in case multiple treatments are required. If you want to shrink your pore size & even your skin texture, then you may want to try Microneedling or Vivace. Microneedling will need to be done at least 2 weeks before the wedding to give it time to heal. Vivace combines microneedling with radiofrequency so that you have no downtime. However, if you are looking to get a dermaplane or any additional treatments right before your wedding, you will want to give the Vivace some time to take effect.

4.) Dermaplane & Hydrating Facials

The last step to your skin wedding prep is a dermaplane & hydrating facial. The week of your wedding you will want to get a dermaplane to exfoliate your skin, so it is smooth & is a better canvas for your make-up. Hydrating facials such as the Hydrafacial or The Diamond Glow Facial will give your skin the final glow it needs so you look & feel your very best.
